The Accurate

The diaphragm valves by SAMSON SED installed in the disinfectant dosing plant are used in the production of pharmaceutical and sterile products, mainly for isolating pipelines, dosing, draining, feeding, sampling, distributing and mixing process media. Other applications include cleaning, such as SIP and CIP.

Aseptic design

The SAMSON SED diaphragm valves have a compact design with minimized dead cavities. As a result, contaminations, which are absolutely inacceptable particularly in pharmaceutical and sterile processes, are reduced and the available space is put to optimal use.

Smart feedback

Since maintenance continues to impose stricter demands on staff, it comes in handy that the Type 024.50 Position Transmitter with I/O capabilities makes replacing a diaphragm much easier. In addition, the cost of maintenance is reduced thanks to the transmitter providing better diagnostic data and plant downtime being prevented.

SAM EDOC®

SAM EDOC® is the electronic document management system for SAMSON SED products. The system assists with product identification and grants immediate access to important documentation, such as operating instructions, mounting instructions, videos and certificates.

Multi-port valve blocks in action

Fine-dosed filling

The exhibit shows a disinfectant dosing system, which is also suitable for handling other media. SAMSON SED customizes the multi-port valve blocks used. Proactive cooperation with the customers at the specification and sizing stages enables SAMSON SED to customize the multi-port valve blocks to the mounting situation on site as well as the drainage direction and the direction of flow. The result is an optimized valve block that brings together the required functions in one extremely compact unit.
Complete draining is essential in pharmaceutical and sterile processes. The design of the multi-port valve blocks facilitates proper installation of the valves to ensure that no non-drainable residue can accumulate.
Valve types, diaphragm materials as well as combinations of valve sizes and end connections can be selected as required within a reasonable framework. Customizations, such as the arrangement and position of the connecting sleeves, can further emphasize the benefits of multi-port valve blocks in many applications.
SAMSON SED already supplies a wide selection of multi-port valve blocks. Yet, the available range cannot cover all specifications that may apply. With regard to the total cost of ownership, it may be worthwhile to consider a better, specifically engineered solution.

Intelligent, comprehensive solutions

  • Our control valves make sure that production plants are supplied with the necessary process utilities, such as air, water, steam or refrigerants. Their high control accuracy optimizes processes and thus reduces the cost of operation.

  • Treated water is the most important raw material in the market. The safety of pharmaceutical products depends on the quality of the water used. No matter if you need purified water, ultrapure water or water for injection: our valves keep it sterile.

  • CIP and SIP (Cleaning-in-Place and Sterilization-in-Place) ensure that the required levels of purity and sterility can be guaranteed, even without having to dismantle entire plant sections. Our aseptic seat and diaphragm valves made of stainless steel are suitable for handling high temperatures and corrosive CIP and SIP media, which reduces the need for maintenance.

  • Particularly in filling applications, no (cross-)contaminations at all are tolerated. The excellent cleanability of the fine-polished wetted surfaces and minimal dead cavities make our diaphragm valves the perfect choice to handle high-precision dosing applications. Possible applications include filling vials, syringes and bottles.

  • Numerous valves must be installed in a confined space for chromatography processes to run smoothly. The compact design and tailor-made setup of our multi-port valve blocks reduce installation dimensions, dead cavities, CIP/SIP cycle times and the cost of installation.

  • Protecting the process medium from contamination is key to fermentation processes. Our diaphragm valves with CDSA-style seals make sure of that. On top, they control with high accuracy. Sterile bottom drain valves and sampling units guarantee that the fermented product stays safe while being processed further.
