Revolution Type 251

Revolution

Increasing environmental awareness in society is also leading to a rethink in the industry on topics such as processes, energy sources and sustainability. Furthermore, political events can influence supply chains within a very short space of time. This places high demands on the flexibility and delivery capability of products in the process industry. SAMSON offers an innovative solution for this with its modular valve kit, which allows a variety of technical solutions to be integrated into a valve and, if necessary, quickly and easily adapted to new conditions without changing the components installed in the pipeline.

Modularity

Thanks to the innovative design of the interfaces in the valve body and cover, it is possible to incorporate a wide range of accessories into the valve, allowing each process to be controlled. Should the process conditions or requirements change, the valve can be easily adapted to these without any changes to the body or cover, maximizing the sustainability of the purchase.

Environmentally friendly

Thanks to an optimized design, the valve has a reduced weight, which reduces CO2 emissions during production. The high flow values of the housing also allow smaller nominal sizes to be used, which also have a small CO2 footprint.

Clean

The packings developed and tested in the in-house research center enable the greatest possible tightness to the outside in accordance with TA Luft 2021 and ISO 15848-1 and a long-term and hermetic separation of medium and environment can be guaranteed by using a metallic bellows from in-house production.

Type 251

Modular innovation for the process industry

The design of the 251GR is optimized for the oil and gas market as well as for the chemical and petrochemical industries. However, its modular design means that it can also be used successfully in a variety of other markets.
It has a wide range of trims from single-stage plugs with clamped or bolted seats or a cage design to multi-stage plugs and cages for demanding operating conditions. Pressure-balanced trims allow for small actuator sizes, while the various attachments enable operating temperatures of up to + 600 °C or a hermetic seal to the outside. The large selection of nominal sizes and flow rates enables the control of media in large to small quantities.
The 251GR has all the necessary design requirements for the oil and gas market, such as maintenance without special tools, packing with goggles for graphite and PTFE, corrosion protection and robust guidance of the control components.
Depending on the process conditions, the 251GR can be converted from a plug to a cage valve or from a single-stage to a multi-stage trim or from a conventional to a balanced plug without changing the body or bonnet.
The 251GR has trimmings with real measured characteristics in conjunction with the SAMSON actuators and positioners, the actuator has an excellent control quality.
